A Crash Course in 3 Summer Lipstick Techniques

There’s no time like summer for glowy skin and fresh, fuss-free makeup and looks that last. When it comes to lips, we turned to Anete Salinieka, our most recent Artist in Residence, to show us three distinct lipstick looks — a soft rose lip, a two-toned coral pout and a bronzed, monochromatic moment — using Rose Inc’s Satin Lip Color in different shades.

Below, the London-based artist showcases the versatility of the creamy, moisture-rich lipstick by breaking down the no-fuss techniques she uses to create each of these vacation-worthy pouts, from blotting and contouring to perfecting an ultra-flattering monochromatic look.

“Blot it down with a tissue in between the layers to create a more matte effect”

"...this technique adds more depth and dimension that can visually make the lips appear fuller.”
